Performance Characteristics
P-AUT 2E45 grease offers the potential for lubed-for-life properties in demanding electrical motor service. PFPE KING greases are non-oxidizing, water-resistant, nonflammable, and chemically inert. P-AUT 2E45 greases contain perfluoropolyether (PFPE) oil and a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) thickener. The PFPE oil and PTFE thickener will not oxidize and gum up like ordinary synthetic or hydrocarbon-based greases. Many major bearing manufacturers recommend PFPE KING greases for long-life lubrication in severe applications. The superior film-forming capability of PFPE KING greases provides a thicker oil layer and reduces wear. PFPE KING greases are compatible with metals and most seal materials, but require the removal of all old lubricants from the motor bearings before application. PFPE KING products are fully synthetic, not petroleum-based, and totally inert, so PFPE KING oils and greases do not react with anything in the environment. Unlike other lubricants, at temperatures under 350 ºC (662 °F), PFPE KING oil does not oxidize or break down into other substances at temperatures below 350 ℃ (662 ℉).
